Ashurance Recruiting is partnering with a well‑established, fast‑paced law firm in downtown Portland, Oregon to hire a Legal Assistant to join its collaborative and client‑focused team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a professional environment, enjoys supporting complex legal work, and values both precision and strong communication.

The Legal Assistant will provide essential administrative and case‑management support across the firm. Key responsibilities include:

• Managing calendars, deadlines, and scheduling needs for attorneys and paralegals
• Supporting case progression throughout the legal lifecycle
• Facilitating communication among internal team members and external contacts
• Maintaining the firm’s document management system, including file opening and closing
• Assisting with hearing and trial preparation
• Contributing to various administrative and project‑based tasks as needed

• Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 2+ years of professional office experience, ideally within a legal environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)

• Familiarity with legal terminology and processes
• Ability to work independently with limited oversight
• Experience with practice management systems (ProLaw preferred)
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Professionalism, tact, and strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent time‑management and organizational abilities
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic

• Location: Downtown Portland, OR
• Work Model: In-Office 
• Schedule: Full‑time, Monday–Friday, 8‑hour shifts
