Ashurance Recruiting is a premier advisory firm founded by Ash Anunsen, a seasoned sports executive with over 20 years of leadership experience in the fields of sports and technology. Based in Portland, Oregon, Ashurance specializes in strategic talent consulting, helping organizations excel in the ever-evolving landscapes of sales, sports, technology, entertainment, and beyond.  

Ash is an established recruiting and sales leader, renowned for building high-performing teams in fast-paced, high-growth industries. With a career that spans professional sports and technology, he has earned a reputation for scaling hiring operations, exceeding ambitious goals, and cultivating top-tier recruiting talent.  

Most recently, Ash served as Manager of Field Recruiting at Tesla, where he led strategic hiring efforts for Sales, Service & Delivery, and Energy across North America. He played a pivotal role during periods of rapid expansion and restructuring, consistently surpassing targets. Throughout his tenure, he oversaw the hiring of thousands of employees across multiple regions in North America and Canada. Earlier in his time at Tesla, Ash built and led the Residential Energy recruiting team for the Western US, delivering high-volume hiring needs and producing one of the top-performing recruiting teams in North America for consecutive years.  

Before Tesla, Ash spent nearly a decade in the sports industry, including leadership roles with the Sacramento Kings (NBA) and Fresno Grizzlies (MiLB). He managed multiple sales teams, developed innovative ticketing campaigns, and mentored young professionals into senior roles. His career commenced in professional sports sales with the Portland Trail Blazers (NBA), where his results and leadership quickly distinguished him.  

A fourth-generation Oregonian, Ash's roots run deep in the Willamette Valley. He graduated from George Fox University, where he was a pitcher on back-to-back Northwest Conference Championship teams. His journey began at Stetson University in Florida after a standout career at The Catlin Gabel School, earning first-team all-state honors twice and culminating his senior year by being named the Northwest League Player of the Year. Post college Ash was named to the South Florida Beach Bums Hall of Fame in 2015. 

He resides in Portland with his wife Shannon and their two children.
